The Palace of Versailles is a grand palace, world renowned and draws tourists from far and wide to explore its lavish interiors and formal gardens. Built by Louis the XIV, the famous Palace of Versailles was designed to awe with its opulence. The 75 metre long Hall of Mirrors is particularly impressive with 17 huge mirrors and stucco work showing the monarch in various guises.
Claude Monet’s garden in Giverny is where the famous impressionist artist painted the Water Lilies series. The artist has a lovely airy studio, which now houses reproductions of his work. Monet’s garden in Giverny is particularly delightful for its profusion of flowers in different shades and colours. The Japanese bridge covered in purple wisterias and the water pond is picture perfect.
With history, art and culture, this tour of the Palace of Versailles and Monet’s garden will be a memorable experience.
