Overview
Explore one of the world’s best-preserved archaeological sites on a guided Pompeii tour and experience life in a town in Ancient Rome. Enjoy a small-group guided tour of Pompeii led by an archeologist and discover the UNESCO World Heritage Site for two hours in the company of a professional guide who will take you around the city preserved by volcanic ash from Mount Vesuvius’ eruption in AD 79.
Start by skipping the line when you enter the city at Porta Marina Superiore, one of the ancient city’s seven gates. Navigate the lanes and streets and wander around the Forum, the old heart of the city and the center of public life. You will enjoy panoramic views of Mount Vesuvius overlooking the city.
See landmarks as the Basilica, Thermal Baths, Temples and Great Theater of Pompeii. Even peek at plaster casts of people who were in the city at the time of the eruption.
See artworks, mosaics and frescoes in various places that are well-maintained and will take you back nearly 2000 years. Highlights include the House of the Vetti and the Lupanar Brothel - see its preserved stone beds and frescoes.
