The concert is a fine selection of masterful music by Mozart and Strauss, rounded off by vocal performances.
The Schoenbrunn Palace Orchestra plays an essential role in Vienna's cultural and musical life. At the Orangery Schoenbrunn, a place rich in tradition, the Schoenbrunn Palace Orchestra and the Schoenbrunn Palace Ensemble perform the most beautiful tunes of the classic composers Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johann Strauss.
WOLFGANG AMADEUS MOZART AND JOHANN STRAUSS:
Enjoy some of the most timeless overtures, arias, and duets from the operas of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in the first half. "Le Nozze di Figaro", "Die Zauberflöte" and "Don Giovanni" to name a few.
In the second half, listed to the most popular operetta arias, waltzes, and polkas of the "Walzerkoenig" Johann Strauss - from "Die Fledermaus" and "Der Zigeunerbaron" to "Donauwalzer" and the famous "Radetzkymarsch".
The orchestra is accompanied by two opera singers, a soprano, and a baritone.
