Visit Westminster Abbey, an essential addition to any London sightseeing plan! The gothic masterpiece bears great significance in British history and has been the venue for coronations, royal weddings and state funerals for a thousand years!
Every monarch since William the Conqueror in 1066 has been crowned in this historic site, the most recent being Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. Visit the Poets’ Corner where a number of world famous poets and writers have been buried, enjoy a guided walking tour of the church and see the Coronation Chair which was created for King Edward I in 1296.
