First, you will head straight to Stonehenge, one of the most popular prehistoric monuments in the world. Marvel at the huge 40-tonne Sarsens and the volcanic blue stones that were dragged from the Preseli Mountains, more than 280 miles away. The monument and its surroundings are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Continue your journey towards Bath, the beautiful Georgian city with delightful crescents, terraces and architecture. Explore Bath’s various charms such as Bath Abbey, the Pulteney Bridge on the river Avon and many more.
Head north from Bath through the heart of the Cotswolds and enjoy breathtaking views of the open countryside crisscrossed by dry stonewalls and bustling market towns with magnificent perpendicular churches.
The highlight of the tour is a visit to William Shakespeare's birthplace and home to the world-renowned Royal Shakespeare Company, the charming town of Stratford-upon-Avon. Stratford is a market town set in the heart of rural England with a lovely river that winds its way through the town and past the beautiful Holy Trinity church, where William Shakespeare was buried.
