The English countryside is famous for its incredible beauty and this tour from London will treat you to the best of it along with a fantastic dose of history, combining the iconic town of Oxford with the pretty villages of Cotswolds.
Our first stop for the day is the ‘City of Dreaming Spires’ - Oxford. Home to the iconic University of Oxford, the city presents an old-world vibe that is hard to miss, whether you are navigating through the array of college precincts, feasting your eyes on its spectacular skyline from one of the vantage points or heading to the Ashmolean Museum to check out the stupendous collection of antiquities.
After a tryst with the hub of academics, we will move on to explore Cotswolds, known for its honey-coloured and ironstone cottages, and the best place to experience quintessential English neighbourhoods. Burford, the ‘Gateway to Cotswolds’ is up next, a medieval town dotted with markets filled with exquisite antiques and rows of quaint houses. And if you have to come the older parts of England, you really cannot leave without giving traditional English Afternoon Tea a shot, right? Yes, we will do that too!
Our final pitstop for the day is Bibury, commemorated by 19th century artist William Morris as "the most beautiful village in England". We will stroll along the surreal Arlington Row, giving you a chance to relish looking at lines of 14th century cottages - a full blown visual bliss. It almost seems that you have travelled back in time to a different era and an exemplary place that will fill up your albums in no time!
