Strap yourself in, you’re heading for an adventure into the Garden of England! Castles, dramatic landscapes, ancient towns. It’s like being in a fantasy drama – just no dragons, sorry! Visit one of the best-preserved castles (once frequented by a certain Henry VIII). Then it’s down to Canterbury, and the magnificent cathedral. Before looking in wonder down on the coastline at the white cliffs of Dover. These places are seeping with history, some of it bloody, all fascinating. Then it’s back to London, Greenwich for a watchful look over the city, or spend some time immersed in maritime history. To cap it all, you’ll head up the river to take in the best of London’s sights. It’ll be a delight. London is great. London and the South East are even better. This is one private adventure where you are definitely the winner.
Service Itinerary:
Imagine a castle in the most beautiful setting imaginable. Parkland, a lake, the picture postcard image of an English landscape. Add in a Roman city with a magnificent cathedral, oh, and a coastline unlike any other. Then this is the tour for you.
With your private guide and driver, you’re heading for the Garden of England. First stop, Leeds Castle. The idyllic haven for Royals. Your guide will show you how the Tudors lived, and you can even sample a glass of mead. One taste and you’ll love it. Then it’s onto Canterbury, and its centerpiece the Cathedral. You’ll have the chance to explore the seat of the Church of England, enjoy the stained glass windows and creepy crypt.
From there it’s to the sea! Well, the White Cliffs of Dover. There’s a reason why it’s the gateway to England, so have your camera ready as you gaze upon the stunning coastline. It’s back to Greenwich from there, and home to the Maritime Museum, the royal observatory and one of the best views of London. Not forgetting the beautiful Cutty Sark.
Finally to cap it all, sit back, take a cruise up the river and just watch the world go about its business. Spot an attraction or two and look back on a memorable day in the Garden of England. It’s a fantasy made real.
