Amsterdam Canal Cruise and Icebar Experience

A unique opportunity, the XtraCold Icebar in Amsterdam gives guests the chance to enter a bar made entirely of ice. At a temperature of -10 degrees Celsius, the Icebar is decorated with ice sculptures and the walls, stools, bar, and glasses are all carved completely out of ice. Two drinks and one welcome cocktail are included in your visit.

What's the plan:

The cruise departs at LOVERS Canal Cruises, located Prins Hendrikkade 25, in front of central station of Amsterdam. Explore the Venice of the North with its 90 islands, 1,500 bridges and one hundred kilometres of canals in total. On your cruise you will pass through the seaport of Amsterdam, which used to be the main port of the Dutch East India Company – imagine the colossal trading ships sailing in with cargos of silk, cotton, salt and exotic spices. You will also pass residential areas, with many houses finished during the Golden Era, to get a feel for the way of life of the Amsterdammers. The cruise will take approximately 1 hour.

After your cruise visit the thrilling Xtra Cold Icebar. Consisting of two parts, XtraCold Icebar first welcomes guests into the “cool” lounge where they can eat, drink, and relax in a cosy atmosphere. Then, after donning thermal gloves and clothing to protect from the extreme temperatures, guests are brought into the Icebar itself where they are given two complimentary drinks and are shown a special 3D movie. It is an experience unlike any other in Amsterdam!
