Visit the Trevi Fountain to throw in a coin before venturing underground to explore the remains of a Roman villa, an ancient cistern, and exhibits of unearthed artifacts.
Explore the subterranean remains and make your way through an archaeological site dating back to the empire. Nine meters beneath the streets, extending from Via San Vincenzo to Vicolo Puttarello, you'll discover ruins that date all the way back to ancient Rome.
The archaeological area of Vicus Caprarius, is also known as the ‘City of Water’ due to the presence of the element around the area and the site. The water that flows from the Trevi fountain and the water which filters through the ancient masonry of the Archaeological area, continue to supply the pipes in lead and the pools of a luxurious residence.
Discover the findings unearthed during excavation, including precious polychrome marble coverings, the head of Alessandro Helios, and a treasure trove of 800 coins.
