Tour the most fascinating sites in this land of extremes, including Furnace Creek, where the highest temperature in North American history was recorded.
Capture the view of the vast valley from Dante's View at 5475 feet above sea level then visit Badwater Basin at 282 feet below sea level.
Majestic mountains, colorful canyons, volcanic craters and salt pinnacles all make this trip a photographer's dream come true.
You will be picked up from your Las Vegas hotel in a air-conditioned vehicle and taken on a Phototour of Death Valley. You will be accompanied by a knowledgeable English-speaking guide.
Your scenic drive to Death Valley passes in a breeze as you gaze out at the harsh desert scenery.
Arrive at Death Valley National Park. With an area of more than 3000 square miles, it is the largest national park in the contiguous United States.
This ominously-named stretch of desert is the lowest, driest and hottest valley in America and its vast and thirsty sands are a sight to behold.
Visit Furnace Creek, where the thermometer shot to 134 degrees Fahrenheit in 1913, the hottest temperature ever recorded in the United States. See the jagged salt pinnacles in the Devil’s Golf Course, where Death Valley’s last lake disappeared more than 2,000 years ago.
You’ll also explore Badwater Basin, the lowest point in North America at 282 feet below sea level, and Zabriskie Point, an undulating expanse of gullies and mud hills at the foot of the Funeral Mountains.
In the winter, the snow-capped peaks of the mighty Sierra Nevada Mountains pose a striking contrast to the arid reaches of Death Valley.
Climb up to Dante's View for some amazing photoshoots. This is a high summit near the edge of the Black Mountains, which form the eastern border of this part of Death Valley, and gives the best overall views of southern half of the Park.
Enjoy a stop for lunch before heading back to Las Vegas.
You will be returned to your Las Vegas hotel at the end of the tour.
