The live commentary buses tended to be quite good. The multi-lingual taped tours (or combinations of the two) were dry in the narration and many times it was impossible to know what site they were talking about as sometimes the narrative would be before the site and sometimes after…so much so that if you weren’t aware what was being discussed you would miss getting off at the stop you were interested in-or the driver would “pause”-but not stop enough for someone in the top deck to come down. It became frustrating.
We love the Hop On Hop Off bus! It’s a great way to explore a new city. We make a complete circle so we know what is available before we explore by walking around.
