Swim in a sacred cenote on a Chichén Itzá & Cenote Day Trip!
Explore one of the New Seven Wonders of the World with your Chichén Itzá & Cenote Day Trip tickets! Cool off and take a swim in a cenote during your Mexico trip! A cenote is a natural sinkhole containing exposed groundwater. The experience of swimming in the cool, clear freshwater amongst ancient limestone formations is unforgettable! Cenotes were considered sacred by the Mayan people and sacrificial offerings were often made to appease the gods. You won’t want to miss out on this experience. It’s what to do in Mexico!
Chichén Itzá is still considered a sacred place by the Mayan people in the Yucatán Peninsula. Today, Chichén Itzá is both a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. And, like many ancient cities of Mexico, the jungle had devoured the ruins of Chichén Itzá after it was abandoned. During your Mexico sightseeing tour, you’ll learn all about the once mighty Mayan Civilization, whose engineering works have stood the test of time! Then, to top off your Chichén Itzá trip, you will also enjoy a sumptuous buffet at the site, making this one of the best things to do in Mexico!
