Be prepared to be very scared when you take part in Boston’s original “Frightseeing Tour!”
With hundreds of years of gory and turbulent history, Boston is renowned for its ghosts and ghouls. It’s even held to be one of the most haunted cities in America! Who knows what ghastly apparitions might appear when you take a trip back into the city’s tumultuous past.
Watch for signs of life from the other side as you pass by Boston’s most haunted hotel, the Omni Parker House, and listen to the tales of the resident spirits that have haunted certain rooms for decades. Your guide will lead you through two of the following ancient burial grounds: Copp's Hill Burying Ground, The Granary Burying Ground or King's Chapel Burying Ground. As you explore these graveyards dating back nearly 400 years, be careful not to step too harshly on the many unmarked, unrecognizable gravestones under your feet.
You’ll tread among the dead in ancient graveyards and hear stories of those whose earthly remains lie beneath your feet. Shiver as you listen to torrid tales of torture, murders, punishments and executions and the greatest grave-robbing scandal in New England’s history. Find out about Jolly Jane and the Boston Strangler. Discover why early Bostonians were terrified of being buried alive.
This eerie Bostonian experience is extremely popular and a ‘must-do’ for locals and out-of-towners alike.
