No trip to Iceland is truly complete without a sighting of the legendary The Northern Lights, so join in on this adventure into the arctic night as you hunt for the aurora borealis! The incredible atmospheric conditions that light up the night sky in Iceland are called the Aurora Borealis which are visible during the winter months, from late August to April. Keep your eyes glued to the sky and behold an array of dancing colours and forms illuminate the night sky. You'll notice that light green and pink are the most common but travelers have reported yellow, violet and the occasional orange-white!
Since this is a small group tour, you will have more time to interact with your guide and gain insight into the magical natural phenomena. You can even get tips from your expert guide on the best ways to capture these lights with your camera! Under ideal weather conditions, the chances of spotting the colourful display of the night sky increase greatly.
Be sure to keep your lens ready at all times as your knowledgeable guide leads you through handpicked locations. Please note however that since the lights are a natural phenomenon, sightings cannot be guaranteed.
