Relax on your scenic two and a half hour drive through the South Bohemian countryside to Cesky Krumlov, whose old city is on the UNESCO World Heritage list. It is one of only two places in the Czech Republic to earn that distinction, the other being Prague’s castle district.
Explore this unique urban complex, comprising three hundred historic houses and the National Castle and Chateau, the second largest such structure in the country after the Prague Castle.
The castle is rightly called the Renaissance Pearl, and the grounds include a sizeable garden, an extensive bridge that spans a deep gap in the rock upon which the castle is built, and a preserved baroque theater, with props and stage machinery still in place.
Lunch at U Švejka, an acclaimed local restaurant, where you’ll be able to enjoy a ham roll, a choice of chicken mixture with vegetable and rice or chicken steak, home kolach (pastry), and coffee.
The tour will end at the beginning point.
