Built in 1839, the Oak Alley Plantation’s driveway is lined with magnificent old trees, at the end of which is the plantation house. Marvel at the unbelievable view of a quarter-mile long alley of 28 magnificent oak trees, each over 250 years old.

Perhaps the most photographed plantation ever, Oak Alley has been the setting for such motion pictures as ‘Interview with a Vampire’, ‘Primary Colors’ and the wedding of Bo and Hope from the daytime soap opera, ‘Days of our Lives’".

Itinerary

The tour departs from the Gray Line “Lighthouse” Ticket Office located at Toulouse Street and the Mississippi River (at the Steamboat Natchez Dock), only 1 block from Jackson Square in the French Quarter.

From here you will board an air-conditioned coach and travel to the Oak Alley Plantation. One of the most photographed plantations, the most striking feature of the Oak Alley is the quarter-mile long alley of 28 magnificent Oak trees, each over 250 years old.

A professional guide will take you on a guided tour of the plantation, which was built in 1839 and help you discover its fascinating history. The plantation’s picturesque setting has also made it a popular choice for film and television producers.

View the majestic cypress trees in Louisiana’s swamps bordering the Mississippi River.

You may purchase a snack, salad or sandwich in the Café and Ice Cream Parlor to enjoy at the picnic tables or aboard the coach on the return journey.
