Navigate the swamps and bayous like a native Louisianan with your Airboat Adventure Tour tickets!
Skim across the Louisiana backwaters at surprising speed before really airing it out on the open waterways! Anyone who has seen an airboat gliding on the surface of the water has wanted to ride one. An airboat represents one of those unique, geographically specific modes of transportation that serve as ambassadors to their respective regions. Venice has its gondolas, San Francisco has its streetcars, and the deep south has its airboats. If you want to get around town like the locals do, then an Airboat Adventure Tour is what to do in Louisiana!
On the Gray Line Airboat Adventure Tour, you’ll dodge alligators as you practically hover over the marshy waters of Lousiana’s swamps and bayous. In an airboat seating 6 to 8 passengers, you’ll cruise around the quaint town of Jean Lafitte, which is named after the famous French pirate, privateer, and smuggler who operated in the Gulf of Mexico.
You’ll also get a rare opportunity to visit some albino alligators during a stop at a live exhibit. The recessive genes leading to albinism have contributed to creatures even more beautiful than their “normal” cousins. Albinism is rarer in alligators than it is in many other animals, and the Airboat Adventure Tour ensures you’ll get a long, lasting look at these magnificent, white alligators during your time on the bayou.
Of course, that means the alligators will get a long, lasting look at you, too! But, don’t let that stop you from participating in one of the best things to do in Louisiana!
You have two options for this tour – a standard boat which holds 15-27 people or a smaller boat for 6-8 people.
