You will be able to hear music and narration in your language of choice in your helicopter. There's no better way to see the Canyon than by helicopter and no better helicopter to travel in than the fabulous Ecostar.
For your Grand Canyon Tour you will be picked up from your hotel in a comfortable shuttle bus and driven to the Las Vegas Boulder City air terminal. Depending on the location of your hotel, pick-up time could be anything from 1 hour to 90 minutes before your flight time.
You will then enjoy a 35 – 40 minute helicopter journey to Grand Canyon. Your thrilling flight will be in a de luxe state-of-the-art Ecostar helicopter. This technologically advanced craft offers air-conditioned comfort and 180- degree unobstructed views. A forward-facing raised platform and a theater-style seat arrangement add to the visual delight of the trip.
On the way, you will see awesome views of Boulder City, the massive Hoover Dam and the sparkling waters of Lake Mead. As you sweep over some of the most spectacular scenery on the planet you will enjoy choreographed music. An informative audio-guide – in Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish – will make sure you don't miss a thing.
Your tour takes you over the more remote regions of the Grand Canyon. Look down with awe at the landscape of chasms, amphitheaters, pinnacles and temples. Admire the palette of brilliant color – the red-ochre and ash-white of the sandstone and limestone rocks, the orange, green and gray of the lichens and the indigo and violet of the deep shadows.
Along the way you will see features of the area such as the 12 mile (20 km) long Grand Wash Cliffs, on the western edge of the Colorado plateau, and the Grapevine Mesa. This flat-topped plateau is capped by a layer of limestone that once formed the floor of an ancient lake.
Swoop over the wilderness area of the Black Mountains and peer down to see if you can spot any of the rare bighorn sheep.
When you reach the Canyon itself, hold your breath as your chopper dips beneath the rim and flies you a short way between the massive rock walls.
Your pilot will head back and give you the chance to see the spectacular scenery from another angle.
Your journey back to the Boulder City terminal takes around 30 – 40 minutes. On reaching the terminal you will board your coach for the return to your hotel, where your delightful tour ends.
