Discover the islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello, three islands on the Venetian Lagoon, on a 6-hour tour from Venice.
Enjoy a relaxing ride on the lagoon and make a stop at Murano, the glass island, known throughout the world for its glassmaking art. Visit a Furnace, watch a glass blowing demonstration and learn about the ancient glass-blowing technique. You’ll be spending an hour and 15 minutes in Murano.
The tour will then continue towards Burano, the jewel of the Venetian Lagoon, famous all over the world for its lacemaking and for the brightly colored fishermen’s houses. Stroll through the 'calli' (the Venetian way to say 'streets') and to admire the ladies embroidering lace handmade products.
You will spend more time in Burano, arguably the most charming island on the lagoon. You can enjoy lunch at one of the typical fish restaurants and shop at the handmade lace stores.
And last, but not the least is the quiet and sparsely populated island of Torcello, the first center of civilization in the estuary. On these island you can discover the oldest churches of the lagoon and discover how Venice was born. Spend a little more than an hour in Torcello.
On your way back, admire the fascinating St. Mark’s Basin from the boat.
